Very recently, the Finish mobile maker, Nokia, released a new firmware update for Nokia 5800, the all new version of 40.0.005 (aka Nokia 5800 Firmware Update v40.0.005) , can be easily downloaded either from Nokia Software Update or via the OTA (Over the Air) feature. However, it’s highly recommended that you back-up your relevant data before proceeding with the updating. Although the change log isn’t available in the phone, most users can confirm that the anticipated “kinetic scrolling” is available instead.

The all new firmware update comes with a new home screen that is similar to that one of the Nokia 5530. Moreover, some users have claimed that the kinetic scrolling feature is much better than that of the Nokia N97. Nevertheless, you will have to wait for days, or even weeks, before the updates can be available in your region.
