Apple is taking pre-orders for iPad in US. Customers have option to either pre-order or they can reserve a piece. Apple has set a limit of 2 items per customer. Apple will be releasing iPad on April 3, 2010 initially only Wi-Fi version. WiFi + 3G version will be launched in late April 2010.
Customers who pre-order iPad can either get it shipped for free to their doorsteps or can take from an Apple outlets.
