There are more than 15 Internet browsers available in market but most of the people know a few of them. Reason is simple, rest are not up-to-date or don’t have enough features which a user require from time to time. Some of the popular browsers are Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer, Safari, Opera, etc. This post will cover the market share of browsers as of March 2010. As expected Internet Explorer is on top with 54.54% market share, then comes Mozilla Firefox with 31.27% and Google Chrome with 7.07% market share respectively.
Well… We all know the reason why Internet Explorer eats the major chunk of market i.e. it comes with Windows as default browser and people who are not tech savvy, don’t bother to install any other browser (this is one of the major reasons, no?).
Here is the trend of browsers from Feb 2009 to March 2010. All browsers show a positive trend except Internet Explorer and Opera which came down from 64.43% to 54.54% and 2.95% to 2.02% respectively.
