Commercial Launch of PTCL EVO Nitro 3G

Finally, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has commercially launched its EVO Nitro 3G. In Pakistan, EVO Nitro 3G is the only fastest and widely available service until now. It is ready to meet the next generations’ ultimate needs for speed and superior performance with a speed up to 9.3 Mbps.

It is claimed by the PTCL that with the introduction of this service, PTCL has become the first operator in the entire world to provide the EV-DO Rev B 3G technology.

On-the-Go connectivity has revolutionized by the EVO 3G Nitro in three simple steps, i.e. connect to the unprecedented speed of up to 9.3 Mbps on the downlink and up to 5.4 Mbps on the uplink by just plugging in the device and a single click.

The average data rates vary between 1.25 Mbps to 3.75 Mbps.

How Current EVO customers can Upgrade to Nitro?

If you are willing to upgrade to Nitro, you have to return your existing USB device and have to pay Rs. 1,000 charges to upgrade to Nitro.

Once you will pay the additional charges and return the USB Device, you will be provided with new EVO 3G Nitro USB Device and also you will have to sign up for Nitro package. You can get more details by visiting any nearest PTCL One Stop Shop.

Remember, the existing USB device should be in perfect working condition and returned with box otherwise your device will not be replaced with Nitro USB.

    @ Kashif: Yes, it was available in the market before. It’s just a commercial launch.

    Oh Well! I don’t really think it would be that fast as claimed because PTCL EVO connects at 3.1 Mbps and they claim a download speed somewhere between 300 – 700 KBps which is just BS.

    Hope this time they are right but they are PTCL so I’m almost sure they won’t.
