Apple has beaten Nokia and other top league telecom equipment manufacturers and has occupied number#1 spot in the smart phone segment. Nokia has been under reeling pressure from all nooks to have been operating under the same old school. Apple has emerged out as the clear innovator in the stream with its 3GS and iPhone 4 handsets. Both of these have been looked up as the game changers by the tech analysts and leading researchers too. Apple has registered its YoY profit in 3 digit numbers to counter its continued focus on producing nothing but quality smart phones. It has also captured the mind and heart share of end users in the tablet segment too.
Although Nokia has lined up certain interesting designs to counter the head-on attack imposed by Apple but the insiders feel that it’s already too late. The shabbily designed phones of Nokia and RIM are finally being dumped by users in favor of Apple or android.
Unless and until Nokia innovates out of the box it looks unlikely that supremacy of Apple in this segment will be challenged any day soon. Get going and place your money on Apple rather than Nokia. The days for Nokia are long over.
