Apple Officially Announces Media Event ‘Let’s Talk iPhone’ for October 4

Finally, the things are made official by Apple. Apple is going to hold media event on October 4th at its Cupertino campus. This has been confirmed as Apple has started sending invites to media outlets this mega event. According to reports, the event will commence at 10:00 AM PT (Pacific Time).

The event is supposed to be really important for the tech giant for two major reasons. Firstly, this would be the first major event held under the cap of new CEO Tim Cook and secondly it is through this event Apple is hoped to announce next generation iPhone. May be the tagline ‘Let’s Talk iPhone’ refers to this major announcement.

Apple’s announcement of this event verifies the reports from Wall Street Journal’s All Things D blog that previously claimed that the media event will be held in early October and that too at Apple’s Cupertino campus. Hats off to All Things D reporting that could be able to get some inside reports from Apple’s camp. However, we are still unaware of the facts why Apple chose its local Cupertino campus against its tradition to hold mega even in San Francisco.

Except for announcing the event, Apple didn’t provide any other details. So, we have to wait for the October 4th to see what Apple really has for us in the box. However, the cycle of predictions and rumors continues and each blog suggest different speculation. It is really a waste of time to discuss all of them. We have gathered some information about the possible announcements. Let us have a look at them.

Keeping in view different reports and remarks from one of member of Apple Board of Directors, we can expect to have four different portable products to be announced in this mega event, i.e. a 3G-ready fifth generation iPod touch, a low-end iPhone 4for people who can’t afford expensive smartphones, an improved iPhone 4 featuring dual-core A5 chip similar to one used in iPad 2 and a high-end next generation iPhone, rumored as iPhone 5.

The actual announcements may not match with our possibilities, but one thing is sure that the event will bring something big for us. All eyes on the forthcoming Tuesday’s event, hope Apple won’t disappoint its fan base.
