Twitter has been around for six years now and since its launch it has introduced many new features. Today, Twitter has announced an advertising blog and a Twitter feed showing its strong commitment to advertising platform.

According to blog, the marketers on average have a 3% to 5% engagement rate for Twitter’s Promoted Tweets in search, which in turn encourage the response rates for most forms of digital advertising (excluding search advertising). The new advertising blog and Twitter feed, @TwitterAds, are specifically designed to let ad communities to know about the activities related to the company.
Since its launch six years ago, Twitter launched a number of advertising products last year such as Promoted Tweets, Promoted Trends and Promoted Accounts. However, since then, many analysts believe that the company has not keep pace with the changing scenario of the advertising market, but the today’s move certainly signals towards the company’s effort to get into the advertising market with its new London ad sales office, its first foreign post as well as the addition of advertising messages in its users’ feed.
On the other hand, we have also seen Facebook working hard to promote its advertising platform and for this reason has made some reasonable advancement in the direction of ad industry such as introduction of Facebook Studio, a website that intents to offer a resource for agencies and marketers.
