YouTube All Set to Broadcast Islamic ‘Hajj’ Live on Saturday

Google reported on its official Google blog that YouTube will broadcast live coverage of Islamic ritual of Hajj for the first time on Saturday, November 5.

The Hajj is the world’s largest pilgrimage in the whole world. It is a symbol of the Muslim’s solidarity and above all submission to Allah. Hajj signifies one of the five pillars of Islam. It is the religious duty towards every able-bodied Muslim and be able to afford it should once in his/her lifetime perform this pilgrimage.

The Hajj is a very respectful event for Muslims all over the world. This event will now be broadcast live on the Saudi Ministry of Culture and Information’s YouTube Channel on Saturday. Although, there is still time before it all started, you can find several related videos on the channel to watch. Through YouTube live broadcasting, million of people will able to watch and experience it.

Google has already partnered with Saudi Ministry when it broadcast Islamic prayers from the Holy Mosque in Mecca live during the Islamic month of Ramadan. It is for the first time that YouTube broadcasting major Islamic events live. This is a clear example of the benefits of positive communication of today’s technology. It is assumed that Google along with Saudi Ministry will cover other major events on its YouTube platform.

In addition to this, some television viewers can also see the live broadcast as Google Saudi Arabia signed deal with Saudi Telecom Company (STC) to bring YouTube to Invision or Interactive Television.
