Skype App Launched for Nokia Symbian SmartPhones
Luxembourg and Espoo, Finland – Skype and Nokia today jointly announced the release of Skype for Symbian, a Skype client for Nokia smartphones based on the Symbian platform, the world’s most popular smartphone platform. Skype for Symbian will allow Nokia smartphone users worldwide to use Skype on the move, over either a WiFi or mobile data connection (GPRS, EDGE, and 3G). It is now downloadable for free from the Ovi Store, Nokia’s one-stop shop for mobile content.

Samsung Guru Phone holds Rural Float Activity

Nexus One Smart Phone! Google Under Complaint Umbrella
Google is facing a series of complaints from Nexus One Smart phone users. “Nexus One” smart phone was launched on January 5, 2010 and could be used with any mobile network.
Buyers are left confused as Google only provided an email address for the support/complaint purpose which isn’t sufficient at all. People on different chat forums asked to add “telephone support” to serve the purpose.
Support forum provided by Google is swarmed with complaints and questions. Already subscribed T-Mobile users want to know whether or not they could get Nexus One for the discounted price.
Google is taking too much time to respond to the queries, many people said. On contrary Google says, they will only reply through Email and it could take 2 days to answer a query/complaint.

Truphone to Launch First VoIP App for Nexus One
Truphone, a voice app provider is unveiling an application for Android phone, which is also compatible with Google Nexus One phone. Truphone’s this move clearly shows that they have a very vital strategy for Google Nexus One in near future.
This Android device update, version 3.0.2 not only makes Truphone compatible with Nexus One but also with T-Mobile Pulse and accumulates to a total of five Android devices in the line now.
This is the latest move this year from Truphone, the UK-based company which was not happy a year ago. It is not easy to get revenues form VoIP calls besides Truphone has a very competent team. The arrival of ex-Yahoo mobile CEO Geraldine Wilson in last quarter of 2008 strengthened the roots of Truphone but the jury is yet to decide whether the VoIP apps actually end up getting anywhere “free”.

PTA Might Ban Chinese Handsets Without IMEI
Sources say that the Chinese handsets that come with no IMEI or with dummy IMEI will be blocked by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA). Preliminary work has commenced on the analysis of the handsets but no confirmation of the timeline as of now. Some smaller phone manufacturing companies in China cut cost by skipping IMEI programming stage, meaning not all phones from china come without the IMEI.
Calls made from handsets without IMEI makes it difficult and impossible to prove the person who made the call, who received the specific phone calls as they cannot be traced by the cellular companies , this makes the Handsets without IMEI a threat to the national security as they are used in the illegal work.
