UExaminer – Prepare Exam & Win 1000 Free SMS
Ufone has been coming up with latest innovations recently. They came up with another new exciting service called “UExaminer”. Ufone took the privilege to launch this service for the very first time in Pakistan.
Students from Grade 9 to Year 2 or O/A level students are focused to help them in preparation of exams. This service enables students to check out MCQs/Quizzes/ Fill in the blanks from text books as well as board papers from previous 5 years. UExaminer also allows students to get date sheets of all boards.
UExaminer focuses on the latest examination method which contains 30% short questions. Students can get preparation quizzes regularly on a specific topic or chapter as well.
How It works?
Students are required to send SMS containing text “EXAM” for online MCQ Examination or “DATESHEET” for date sheet to 1100.

Ufone once again introduces a new handset with built-in torch for its subscribers for Just Rs. 1199/- Ufone launched it’s handset couple of times in past but due to unlocking of these handsets, Ufone discontinued the offer but the new handsets are locked and can only be used with Ufone SIM (as of now). PTA Fined Ufone 150 Million Rupees For Violating 789 SOP
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has fined Rs. 150 Million to Ufone for violating terms and conditions.
According to the Authority, every telecom company is required to follow a verification procedure before issuing or activating any SIM. Note that this verification is carried out on the basis of data provided by NADRA.
Ufone has been alleged of selling a SIM without acting in accordance to the rules, therefore, clearly violating and refusing to acknowledge the rules implemented by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. PTA considers this mistake a threat to national security measures taken by the Federal Government.
Ufone responded to the case saying that above said SIM was sold in accordance to the rules. 789 Standard Operating Procedure was followed in issuance of the said SIM. Islamabad – February 17, 2010: Ufone has recently launched another irresistible offer for cellular consumers on other networks to join Ufone.

Ufone Awaz Email – Send Voice Message to Email
With Ufone Awaz Email, you can send Voice messages directly to email. The service supports almost all handset. You just need to call IVR 4412 where you will be provided instructions on how you can use Awaz Email. You can then record the voice message and when you hang up, you will receive a confirmation SMS. You would need to reply to the SMS with the email address you wish to send the voice message. That’s it!
All Ufone customers can avail this service. It is to be noted that Awaz Email duration is 3 minutes maximum.

Ufone to Organize Capacity Building Workshop for Journalists
Islamabad – February 10, 2010: Appreciating the role played by Pakistani media in providing information to the people in very trying times, Ufone has announced a capacity building initiative that will train journalists for reporting in security sensitive situations.
Akbar Khan, Chief Marketing Officer at Ufone announced the initiative at a dinner hosted in the honor of the elected cabinet of the National Press Club Islamabad. The capacity building workshop will be held with international trainers in the month of April this year.
Speaking on the occasion he said that both the cellular industry and the media had shown tremendous growth in the last decade and have empowered the people by providing them access to information. It just happens to me today and I thought to share it with you. I don’t know it’s a blunder by Ufone Rep or it’s true. I need to find it out.
Anyways story goes like this, I lost my mobile few days back and I (unfortunately) happen to be a Ufone customer. After loosing my mobile the first move was to get my SIM blocked. So, for that matter I called Ufone help line. After telling the Ufone Rep the whole story I asked him how to get my SIM blocked? He asked for my lost SIM number and my name. I told him my number and my full name and also informed him that the SIM is on my father’s name. My father bought it for me so it’s on his name. He said he want to talk to my father. Ufone celebrates its 9th anniversary today. With a user base of 18,361,072 (as of Nov 2009 PTA report), Ufone stands 4th among six mobile service providers in Pakistan. During last year, Ufone offered many good packages for its customer regardless of many complaints about network. It’s not the right day to talk about the complaints right?
