Google announced in January 2010 that it would offer cash bounties for bugs found in the code of Chromium (which is the open-source browser behind Chrome) by following the lead of Mozilla. Google, The Search Engine giant has donated $2 Million to Wikimedia Foundation, organization that operates Wikipedia.
Wikipedia Founder (Jimmy Wales) and one of Wikimedia Foundation Advisory board members, Mitch Kapor announced the donation through tweets. Either side is yet to make any official comments. Announcement should probably be made public tomorrow.
