Ever had your gadget lust ignited at a time when it was really down by a few well-framed PR shots? You probably went like, Whooo (not Wooo.) It is very probable that just like Sony’s $2,500 11-inch XEL-1 the LG 15-inch OLED HDTV will follow to the heights of shamelessly overpriced gadgets that few can or will purchase. The probable eventuality is that is that with time they will become obsolete when other options that are larger and cheaper become available. But that does not restrict the urge to break our bank accounts for that extra grand just to experience (just like we did when we checked it out in person at CES ) the charm of that ultra bright screen in the photos.
I am sure no one is wishing the 30-inch version to be delayed until 2012, and thus we all have reason to believe the summer mass production-December launch we’ve been promised if the appearance on LG’s Flickr stream is anything to go by.
That’s way too expensive :s
