Who Invented the Cell Phone?

Mobile phones have made a lot of inroads into the lives of the mainstream public. But who invented the cell phone? The presence of portable communication gadgets among the many organizations calls for the question of the cell phone’s creator. There were a number of initiatives into the communications systems in 1973 when Martin Cooper made the first call to a colleague in the field of communication research. Cooper was then general manager for Motorola’s system division and was also head of the team that came up with the portable telephone.

In this way they made a statement to the effect that they had pioneered in the field. AT&T researchers, Bell Labs had also been running an initiative eyeing the same achievement. The invention was quite a spectacle at the time. Passers by were quite astonished at Cooper’s call placement when he did not have to go to the booth.
