The largest search engine in China was shut down after hackers attacked the cyber of Baidu.com. They did this by steering traffic to another site which was said to be handled by the Iranian cyber army, a group said to be in the country of Iran.
Baidu’s services were interrupted due to the external manipulation of its domain name server in the country of USA. Some of the services have already been restored since Baidu is working on them. This is according to Victor Tseng the spokesman. There was a press release from the foreign ministry of China stating that they oppose the cyber crimes especially hacking. No evidence is there that this was done by people from Iran. The company has a market value of 12billion dollars and dominates the China market like the way Google dominates the world market. The share of this company is about 62% of the China internet search market whereas Google is 29%.
LOL! and they try to compare themselves to Google!
