Twitter is under phishing attacks more often these days and every time a new type of phishing attack comes up.
A new kind of phishing attack is circulating briskly today via direct messages on Twitter in an attempt to steal login credentials. Direct messages like “LoL funny” & “lol is this you” followed by a phishing website are spreading widely. Avoid clicking the links and even if you do so, don’t enter your login details.
Users who entered the details on such pages are unintentionally spamming all their friends so do not click the links.
Your account should be fine if you are receiving these messages but if you can see such messages posted by you then quickly change your twitter password.
