Now Find Hotel Prices with Google Maps – BETA Release

Now you can check hotel prices on Google Maps. Isn’t that great?

The new feature introduced within the Google Maps is in its testing phase and only show prices for some specific hotels. And it seems this feature is only turned on for “a small number of users”.

A very easy to use and straightforward feature:

The new feature is very simple: each time you search for any hotel in a specific region, this feature will allow you to check the prices of the hotels that showed up in your search result and the prices will be based on the date and the number of nights you are planning to stay.

All the data are based on publicized prices from sponsored results — the prices are basically ads, although useful ones.

The ranking system for hotels will not change says; Google. Instead, this new feature is an experiment to test and form a new advertising strategy which might be useful to the user. If it all goes well it would defiantly bring out more and more users to Google Maps and it will be useful both the user and the advertiser.

So what do you think? Is this a practical feature? Let us know in your comments.
