Chrome Leading its Rivals in The Popularity Echelon

According to Net Applications, the browser market share of Chrome is mounting at a rapid pace. Google’s Chrome captured a full 6.1 percent of the browser market share. Chrome is closing up the gap between Firefox, which has a 24.5 percent market share and also maintaining the lead over browsers like Opera and Safari.

As the other browsers are growing their market share Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is declining and recently lost a whole percent over the past month.

May be Mac users are also playing their part in Chrome’s increase. When the Chrome for Mac user was released in December, many users tried to switch their browsers for the reason that the early beta of Chrome didn’t have support bookmark syncing or extensions. However, all of that changed as the new version was released in February. Now the Chrome has given a Mac user, all the features and facilities including bookmark support and extensions and all other that the PC user had before so, many Mac users opted to move to Chrome.

Still many users believe that Chrome is migrated from Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari and is a little bit faster. On the other hand some users still thinks that Firefox is a better choice due to some features like Firebug and certain extensions that Chrome does not have yet.

So which browser do you think is the best? Or tell us if you had made a switch?
