Adobe Air allows the developers to use tools such as Flash Builder, Flex and Flash ProfessionalCS5, for making standalone apps. Along with this Adobe Air version, a new application distribution platform is also announced by Adobe called “Adobe InMarket.”  With the launch of this Air 2.5 version from Adobe about 3 million of Flash developers can make a single application or game and can definitely set them out in many application devices and stores.  This release is surely a huge leap for developers who are looking for designing rich and appealing apps who once had experienced building them individually for each platform and device. Geo-location feature enable the developers to design location-based services and applications.  Though iOS is supported by Air 2.5, Flash is not expected soon on products of Apple.

As an answer to the announcement of Apple that the restrictions on developing tools will be relaxed, in this September, Adobe also announced that expansion or improvement on Flash will be resumed for Apple’s iPhone and theoretically this extends to Adobe Air 2.5 too.  Adobe stated that the company is intending to enhance the formerly launched Packager for Apple iPhone in parallel to Air 2.5 version for Android. Adding to this at the Blackberry conference RIM declared that the PlayBook tablet PC will support Flash Player and Air. The company is committed to expand the scope of Air apps to numerous platforms and screens.  According to RIM, SDK tablet from Blackberry will give support for graphics-intensive content and video playback which is hardware-accelerated.  Regarding TV, Adobe announced that an optimized and tuned version of Adobe Air is built such that it works on the hardware of TV.

So this new version of Adobe i.e. Air 2.5 which supports TV and Tablet PC is awaited to work on the hardware back up of TV too.
