Cherrypad Android Tablet Now Available in America

Cherrypal finally came around developing its own line of tablet PCs, the CherryPad America being one of its most talked about releases so far. Being a company known for manufacturing low cost computers, it was only logical that this California-based company would make their own version of tablet PCs for their American consumers after the Apple iPad started the trend. It’s only natural for other companies to join the bandwagon and take advantage of this newly formed consumer base. For Cherrypal, the CherryPad is America’s contender in the tablet PC industry.

While there are other Tablet PCs available elsewhere, the CherryPad America draws curiosity from its buyers in different ways. For one thing, it took advantage of the growing trend of mobile PCs running on Android, the open source operating system created by Google for mobile devices. Right now the version that comes with the package is the Android 2.1, but buyers will be happy to know that updates will be accessible when they come since Cherrypal has the enviable unrestricted access to the Android Market. Pretty soon, as Cherrypal stated, users will be able to upgrade their OS to the latest Android Froyo. Couple this with its attractively affordable unit price of $188 and you’ve got more than enough reason to give the CherryPad America a good look.

The CherryPad sports a 7-inch resistive touch widescreen that has a resolution of 800×480 – that pretty much sums up the front of the device. On the inside, it’s backed up with a Samsung ARM 11 that goes up to 800 MHz hand-in-hand with 256 MB worth of DDR 2 RAM. Aside from its 2GB NAND Flash, the CherryPad’s storage capabilities also include MicroSD cards.

CherryPad America’s wireless capability is also versatile, thanks to the optional 3G external modem that serves as an alternative to the built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g hardware. Furthermore, you can enjoy all thes functions for a relatively long time with the Tablet’s 3200 MAH battery.

Enclosed in aluminum frame, this 1.1 LB tablet PC supports USB 2.0 via external adapter, 3.5 mm audio jacks, and has built-in microphone, speakers and DC out.

Lastly, American based consumers have great deals on their hands, as popular retailers online like Zecozi are selling the CherryPad to US buyers at sale price. Each unit comes with a 1 year replacement warranty as well as a 30-day money back option, letting you have a taste of the new Tablet PC at very little risk to you.
