Microsoft & Motorola May Cooperate on Windows Phone 7 Device

Only a few days later Microsoft has sued Motorola for using their rights on patents with their Android mobile phones, they are now saying that they may work together to innovate a smartphone which will be using the Windows Phone 7OS. On 11th of October Microsoft will be revealing the first gadget that will run the new operating system, through the similar ones of Samsung and LG, and the reports are currently indicating that Motorola will be joining the fray very soon.

Microsoft put forward the idea that Motorola Android phones have used a few of its patents which are said to be considered as the main features that consumers expect from smartphones by an executive of Microsoft. this has leaded to a new theory being created which suggested that Microsoft was aiming to show manufacturers that used Android operating system that it is free to license but the cost compared to the legal cost from patent lawsuit is actually much higher. This theory indicates that Microsoft is trying to promote their new mobile operating system.

Steve Ballmer who attended to a conference in Germany who is the chief executive of Microsoft stated that Microsoft was happy to cooperate with any company who wants to cooperate with them on inventing a device operated on their new operating system. Sanjay Jha who is the co-chief executive, noted that their company is open to any idea about development of devices that operate on Microsoft’s new operating system, despite the problems they have experienced in the past few days.

So far Motorola has been using Android operating system from Google, entirely on all their smartphones, which has been a move that carried the company which was in a financial trouble 2 years ago to a successful state. Jha stated that when he came to helm the company during this financial trouble, in an interviewed he said that he was willing to work with Microsoft to create a mobile phone with their software, however when Microsoft had troubles on delivering their new operating system in 2009, Motorola had to stick with Android.

Today Microsoft’s new operating system, Phone 7OS is complete, possibly the Redmond will be convincing Motorola to reconsider their Android exclusivity and design a smartphone that operate on Windows Phone 7 operating system. It is hoped to be clearly shown to the public in the next weeks.
