Mobile Web Surge Continues in October

Opera Software, the internet browsing company, this Wednesday told that the world’s cellular data traffic is gushing still even in the month of October, which is running at a great pace from past seven months. The company also said that data traffic via mobile browser of Opera which corresponds to about 90 % of total data which saves the bandwidth of the network has gone up to 16 % in the month October from the month of September.

The tech-savvy customers, since a very long time are using mobile phones to get connected to the Internet services, however the cellular internet industry has actually escalated from the time of launch of iPhone of Apple from the year of 2007. The chief financial official of Opera, Erik Harrell said that this mobile internet services really got a boom when a statement was made by Steve Jobs that now every one can get the services of Internet in the pocket of their pockets. He also added that the operator’s eyes were opened by the Apple’s iPhone especially regarding the potential of revenue of internet browsers and the same thing was also done by Google.

The operators of wireless browsers are interested to raise the revenue by social networking and internet browsing boom as the returns from the standard voice calls are decreasing, however the operators are confronting the more and more congested networks.

This process helps the browsers such as Opera, which uses some proxy servers for packaging the data thus enables sending small quantities of data via wireless networks. In an interview given recently, the vice president, Randy Cavaiani, working for Novarra’s business and marketing development said that the proxy-based browsers trend is growing rapidly in today’s market.  He also said that if at all the handset manufacturer requires technology; the server strength will be taken into consideration.

Some major phone manufacturers like Nokia are increasing their focus in developing the company’s own browsers, though many developers of the market are making deals for purchasing the browsers from third party companies, like RIM, the maker of blackberry is making deal with Torch company to buy the browsers, while this is not the only company doing this.

The future of Opera firm depends on the most important players reviewing the options available to them, thus deciding whether the company has to buy or design a strategy.
