Windows Tablets Can’t Match the iPad’s Magic

Apple Inc. Launched its innovative iPad few months ago and its sales plummeted in a month’s time is a testimony to the fact that it was one of the most awaited gizmo in the recent times. iPad has managed to grab a lot of attention even before it hit the markets across the world. Certainly the excitement generated by iPad’ features and its usability had added to the anticipation. Apple’s Steve Jobs has a lot to smile about with the sales figures going in millions in just a month post the launch of iPad.

The iPad has definitely affected the sale of notebooks across the globe giving it a stiff competition due its obvious edge over the product. An iPad that comfortably fits into one’s palm and its screen resolution allows the user to easily navigate through web pages and several folders. The key feature is it size, weight and portability which will allow a user to happily slip it in his pocket or in a handbag.

It is the friendliest gadget for the eBook addicts as they have a book merely at a palms reach. Besides the look of it, there are practically the same features that a PC or a laptop may have. The difference is the convenience factor which Apple Inc. has beautifully crafted in a technologically sound manner. Along with the iPad device comes a host of Apps which need to be uploaded and updated to make the most out of the gadget. For those who come later in contact with iPad will have a lot to learn with respect to its Apps.

According to Bernstein Research estimate, the iPad has beaten the sales record of DVD players by selling over 3.3 million units in the first three months of it launch. The iPad is competing very closely with cell phones and gaming hardware in the consumer electronics segment. Also these days with iPad accessories supporting Bluetooth enabled keyboards are far more attractive to a buyer then to invest in a notebook. Specially for those looking for a PC-like experience, always have an option to accessorise and use the iPad and or go for a desktop PC itself as the only the only thing that counts is the investment and experience while we buy a gadget. iPad with it touch screen feature makes it far less cumbersome for a user as it reduces dependability on a keyboard.

iPad most certainly has the first comer advantage as till date it hasn’t found a competitor yet. There have buzz about Microsoft, Dell and HP coming with their versions of iPads; already Samsung’s Galaxy Tab out in the market is also good enough. BlackBerry will be releasing its PlayBook next year almost around the time when iPad 2 will be launched.

Apple Inc. tends to sell its gadgets through its website and only retails it out only when the demand rises. This gives Apple Inc. monopoly to a certain extent of it gadget sales but only for a matter of time.
