Samsung Galaxy Player Displayed at CES

As expected, Samsung displayed its Galaxy Player at the CES show in Las Vegas. The player almost looked identical to the Galaxy S smartphone in shape and form.

The device runs on Android 2.2 and consists of a full set of features, along with access to the App Store. The SoundAlive technology offers great audio quality and the device offers support for Flash.

Samsung also introduced the Galaxy Player 50, a white version of the device, which runs on Android 2.1. The Galaxy Player 50 is a smaller device and does not include the Micro SD and USB Slots offered by the Galaxy Player.

The Galaxy Player 50 only has one USB port, but still is a competent music player with a responsive touch screen, SoundAlive technology, Bluetooth 3.0 connectivity, applications, camera and video playback functions.

The Galaxy Player 50 is, however, a downgraded version from the Galaxy Player.

Pricing information as well as a release date for the devices has not yet been announced.
