Sprint will Sell 4G Version of BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet

Sprint Nextel Corp. has announced that it will offer a version of the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet that will run on its next generation network.

The 4G PlayBook is expected to be released this upcoming summer in the United States according to Sprint and RIM.

RIM has not yet announced the release date for the Wi-Fi-only version of the device, which it announced in September 2010. It was expected that the device would have been released early this year.

RIM said that the PlayBook would be geared towards business users and the device will consist of a touchscreen, smaller than that of the iPad.
