11 Top Google Adsense Earners

Have you ever wondered who the top Google Adsense earners are? I certainly did. If you are a webmaster, you are always interested in making more and more money but don’t know how to start or even how to boost the traffic. That’s what I was looking for. There are not a lot of people who are making a fortune from Google Adsense but still there are many who earn a very handsome income every month.

It’s of very common understanding that you should have a lot of traffic to earn something significant from Adsense. That should be enough for an introductory paragraph, now let’s jump to the list of the top 11 Google Adsense earners.

1. Shawn Hogan

Shawn founded a webmasters forum, forums.digitalpoint.com when he was 19. In the start it was an average successful forum but then Shawn focused on the administration of the forums and cleaned it with spams and categorized the posts. Few years back, he started an Adsense revenue sharing program and it was a marvelous success. . Few years back he started Adsense revenue sharing program as a marketing idea and his forum never looked back.

2. Michael Arrington

Estimated Adsense Income: $240,000 / month

Michael Arrington is the owner and blogger at TechCrunch. He has become of the most influential figure lately. It’s not a one man show anymore. Michael has a team of bloggers who regularly updates TechCrunch with tech stuff. TechCrunch.com is now the property of Yahoo.

3. Markus Frind

To be honest, I never heard of this guy. Did you? If not, check out his website plentyoffish.com.  Markus created this free online dating website from his apartment. The website soon became one of the largest online dating websites. I did a little research about the website and came to know that the website design might not be very attractive but the functionality is there which is what needed.

Markus removed Google Adsense from his website in 2009 as the website grew and he was making more money from membership fees.

You might be aware of twitter. Tweetmeme is a web service that shows how many times a story has been tweeted. World famous bloggers are using Tweetmeme buttons on their blogs.

Tweetmeme got to world rank of 300 in just one year and the good news is that even behind the twitter official button release there is a partnership of twitter with Nick halstead.

5. Kevin Rose

You might be aware of Digg. It’s a very famous social marketing website and Kevin Rose owns it. Digg.com was started in December 2004. For those who don’t know about social marketing, it’s a website that let people submit news, videos, and pictures. Other people visit those news etc. and they can Digg it to boost the rating of that news. If the news gets enough ratings, it will show up on the front page of the website and get tons of traffic.

Digg has both Google Adsense ads and Federated Media ads.  It is estimated that he earns roughly $250k a month from Adsense alone.

6. Jeremy Schoemaker

Estimated Adsense Earnings: $140,000 / month

If you are a blogger, you might already know ShoeMoney. He is one of the greatest Internet Marketers. He is very good with search engines and knows how to setup and drive traffic to a website. His best month with Adsense indicates $132, 994.97.

It is to be noted that ShoeMoney makes his fortune not with only one website but hundreds of them and thousands of domains.

7. Jason Calacanis

Estimated Adsense Earnings: $120,000 / month

Json Calacanis was the owner of Weblogs. The network used to make approximately $4000 a day from Google Adsense. Jason Calacanis sold Weblogs to AOL in 2008 for $25 million and is now focusing on his email campaigns instead.

8. David Miles Jr. & Kato Leonard

David and Kato claim that they make $100,000 a month from their website FreeWebLayouts.net. The website offers free MySpace templates.

Pankaj Agarwal is the owner of ClickIndia.com. It is a classified ads platform where hundreds and thousands of Indians post their ads. Within two years, ClickIndia found its place in alexa top 1K list. Adsense is clickIndia only revenue model and thus they have optimized the site well for maximum CTR and for becoming the highest Adsense earner from his country.

10. Amit Agarwal

Amit Agarwal is the owner of Labnol.org which is a blog that offers variety of guides for tech enthusiasts. The website provides non-geeky easy to understand stuff to target mass audience and that’s the secret of success. The website currenty has over 111000 feed subscribers and over 25000 facebook fans. So, you can get an idea of how much he is making.

Tim Carter is a licensed master plumber and carpenter with his own radio show.  He started his website up in 1995 with his primary focus to cater to an avid following of fellow builders on the site.  In April 2004, Carter learned about Adsense for content sites and he put it on his site.  With minimal effort and time he optimized his website and his Adsense earnings grew from $1,500 to $7,500.

    Oh well, that’s quite a money they are making. And shawn made it to the top earner. I still remember back in 2009, Markus frind was the top earner from adsense and seems like he is still making the same money.

    All it takes is a single, great idea, and tons of dedication and hard work on your site. The sad part is that Google is also getting a pretty decent amount out of these guys’ success

    That is crazy money. Think about it. Google takes 30% of the revenue. So if they can figure out how to get advertisers for cheaper then 30% a month then they will bank even more. But like they say. If it is not broken do not fix it.

    @RodgerD@KnowledgeGuide4U – why is it sad? its pretty much thnx to google they earn what they do, it would be harder to make ads by yourself and get advertaisers by your own, and to build the kind of platform adsense is would be hard….so props for google men.
