Without wasting any time lets jump to the market share of browsers as of Feb 2011. Internet Explorer market share decreased from 54.5% to 45.44%. That’s a big change and this might be because of the Google Chrome, the market share of which increased to 16.54% from last year Feb 6.72%. Chrome market share increased by 10% whereas, Internet Explorer went down to 10%. So, that makes sense. Firefox still holds the second position with 30.37%. There is a slight decrease in Firefox market share as well.

Opera and Safari remains stable throughout the year with 5.08% and 2% market share as of Feb 2011 respectively.
These are worldwide figures and continent wise data is different. One thing is common – Chrome almost has the same market share around the globe whereas all other browsers vary. For example in Europe, Firefox is on top with 37.56% and IE is on second with 36.44%.
