Apple Ain’t Tracking Anyone, Steve Jobs?

Apple and Android tracking location history news are all over the place. Apple is yet to respond about the issue but Apple CEO, Steve Jobs who is on leave of absence has apparently responded.

MacRumors is reporting that one of his readers contacted Steve Jobs about the iPhone tracking location history of users and also ‘threatning’ him to switch to droid if he was not given an explanation.

Q: Steve,
Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It’s kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don’t track me.

A: Oh yes they do. We don’t track anyone. The info circulating around is false.

Obviously, the news is not authenticated but if it is, Jobs has clearly denied that Apple isn’t tracking any iPhone or iPad user while Google does that on its Android.
