It was in 2010 when Steve Jobs proclaimed the new generation of MacBook Air and then the first thought come to our minds was that these slim and lightweight Mac notebooks will certainly win the heart of people. Perhaps, we were right to think so as an analyst disclosed that the MacBook Air has been the most favored product by Apple that will help Apple by returning revenue of about $2.2 billion. Simply amazing!
In a note to investors, J. P. Morgan analyst Mark Moskowitz suggested what Apple is required to do in order to generate this substantial revenue
Assuming that Apple can sustain or increase the recent quarterly run rate of 420,000 units and pricing stats stable, annual MacBook Air revenues could track to $2.2 billion or better
Talking about the MacBook Air growth, the analyst suggested that these lightweight, slim and easy to carry notebooks certainly bring some positive things to the entire Mac business.
The last quarter of 2010 saw a good growth for Apple products as Apple shipped 420,000 units of MacBook Air alone that accounts for 10% of all Mac units offered in the same quarter.
It is right to refer the product as revenue engine if it is generating such massive revenue for you.
