Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 2011 and the numbers are beyond expectations of the analysts who predicted a net income of $5.3 billion.
Despite, Apple managed to beat Microsoft in terms of profit. MG Siegler of TechCrunch says;
Last October, despite Apple pulling ahead in revenue, the profit gap was about $1.1 billion in Microsoft’s favor. Last quarter, that gap was down to roughly a $600 million. And now, rather remarkable, it’s over $700 million in the other direction — a $1.3 billion swing in just one quarter. And you can probably expect that trend to continue.
Apple is strongly beating Microsoft in terms of revenue of $24.6 billion as compared to Microsoft’s $16.3 billion. Apple declared its financial statements for Q2 2011 a while ago with increased net income as well as sales.
