3G iPod Touch On Its Way

Apple has been instrumental in releasing quick version updates to its equipments and software solutions. The one which is making news this time round is the new iPod Touch 3G variant. Apple will shortly announce the big arrival in Cupertino preferably before the end of the year. The device is expected to provide HD mode FaceTime service to the users along with host of remarkable improvements mainly on camera and chipset front. The pricing of 3G variants will be slightly higher than the existing ones. In order to keep the product line simple and easy to comprehend the equipment manufacturer will limit iPod Touch to 3G variants only in the year ahead. Therefore, there will be no option of a Wi-Fi only iPod Touch going forward.

The next generation of iPods will work almost the same like iPhone does but without the phone features. In order to boost the battery life in the device the chipset will be replaced for better battery optimization. The power of 3G is gripping the global sphere but at a slower pace in some of the developing nations. Therefore, Apple’s move of producing 3G+Wi-Fi variants will be cherished by those who are still backed by broadband Wi-Fi connections.

The music buffs wished in 2011 if they could be offered a 64 GB variant by Apple. However, that looks unlikely given that at the backdrop production of their new 3G variant might already be underway for 8GB, 16GB and 32 GB variants.
