How The iPad is Driving Apple’s Business

Apple has registered 124% profit YoY mainly attributed to booming iPad sales though iPhone sales numbers have been dwindling. iPad 2 has been the single booming factor for Apple to drive its bottom-line numbers to newer highs. Ironically demand is skewed and the supply is not adequate to full fill the global expectations. The App store download numbers for iPad is encouraging too. The number of paid app downloads on the App store has tormented a fresh number too.  And the quarter by quarter profit has boosted the stock price of Apple too. The current stock price of scrip is at $400 and the strong positive sentiment is driving the stock price northwards.

iPad’s launch has changed the mindset of consumers who are now thinking beyond PC’s and notebooks. The booming times for Apple and its revolutionary products have accounted for low PC sales. The equipment manufacturers in this space are either focusing on releasing their own harmonized versions of tablets or are redesigning their PC’s in a manner which resemble tablets.

Apple has been quick to react to the pulse of customers and are releasing its improved versions of products one after the other. The iPad itself has witnessed second version release in last two years. The arena looks competitive and the stage looks all set for Apple. The gadget maker is all set to release the next version of iPhone and iPad to touch newer sales numbers by the next quarter.
