Apple Can’t Dominate Tablet Market Forever

Notebook maker, Lenovo has challenged the supremacy of Apple in tablet segment by launching distinct range of Lenovo tablets internationally. It firmly believes that Apple’s supremacy in the segment will not be retained for a very long time and it’s bound to be handed over to a capable vendor. The tablet segment has become competitive ever since iPad’s maiden version was released in 2010. Since then the customers have been provided a rich base of options to choose from and till date there are dedicated tablets by Samsung, HTC, Motorola and whole lot of niche vendors.

One of the primary reasons considered for Apple’s ability in this segment is backed by a quality product and support of App Store. The native app store has over 1.6 million apps to choose from and it’s growing in number by the day.

The smart features such as pinch zoom, fine on-screen resolution and FaceTime has made it a preferred vendor in the space amongst the rest. Although similar threats have been made by tech analysts and other competing vendors but till date none ever came close to iPad. The arena is all set to intensify in future but for the moment things are truly in order for Apple.
