Facebook Glitch Exposes Private Videos

A recent Facebook glitch has exposed private tagged videos of the end users. The unauthorized users were able to view the picture of the videos along with the titles in certain instances. Few other users reported that they were sure of the fact that there unintended friends were able to view the content that has been tagged private as they related or tagged updates on their walls. This glitch can lead to negative implications against Facebook which has already been criticized a lot for its poor privacy policies. The end users have often complained about its inability in managing the confidential information the way it should in the first place.

As per some users, photo tagging is also an invasion to privacy to certain extent and Facebook took ages to fix a security feature to allow tagged photos to be only seen by the profile holder. The recent glitch will make Google+ network even more popular amongst the security conscious social users. It will be interesting to note as to how it manages to survive the race with Google+ in race.

The leaked private videos shouldn’t be uploaded on social pages and be kept aside in safe (ideally password locked folders), The users should use these meticulously at all times.
