As per the sources close to Apple it is anticipated that they were in negotiations with LG and Samsung for releasing high resolution screen on the tablet. However, it looks like that Apple will shift its focus from Samsung to LG amid the lawsuit woos. Both Apple and Samsung have filed lawsuits against each other over Samsung’s alleged usage of intellectual property. As per the petition filed by Apple, Samsung’s recent smart phone devices clearly imitate iPhone 4. Tech analysts second Apple’s petition and Samsung have been under reeling pressure from the users too. Apple has recently won a ruling in their favor over HTC’s alleged usage of Apple’s intellectual property.

If LG gets the contract to make high resolution screen for new iPad 3 then it will not only boost LG’s bottom-line numbers but also its brand credibility. LG is an upcoming competitor to Apple in smart phone segment and has no intention of rolling out own tablet too.
