Samsung Profit Slides, But Smartphones Strong

Samsung has recently declared its financials and has indicated a slip in its profit margins. However, the only aspect that can bring a sigh of relief amongst the senior management folks is the increase in sales of smart phone devices. The end users across the globe are glued to the latest and upcoming smart phones of Samsung and as a result the business outlook of the segment looks promising for the next year too. The tablet segment and laptop market numbers indicate sluggish sales which is mainly attributed to Apple’s rising market share in the industry segment on the go.

In many ways the new Samsung Galaxy S II phone beats Apple’s iPhone especially in terms of camera support and resolution base apart from being powered on a stronger processor. The users across the globe are glued to the rich set of features and not only the brand promise. The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 versions look eminent too but are too late to hit the eyes of the consumers. Samsung can scoot up its profit if they chalk out a supreme strategy of launching smart phones at competitive rates globally. Only the next financial numbers will let us know the true picture.
