Chief Scientist, Summize Co-Founder Abdur Chowdhury Quits Twitter

Perhaps, this is the toughest phase for Twitter since its launch. Majority of the senior names at Twitter have left already and now is the turn of Chief Scientist Abdur Chowdhury who has also quit Twitter. This all began with an exit of Biz Stone, after which four senior and key guys were fired and since then the trend continues.

Abdur Chowdhury himself confirmed on Twitter yesterday that he is leaving Twitter. It was in 2008 when Adbur Chowdhry started his services with the acquisition of Summize – a search engine. Chowdhry was a co-founder of this search engine next to Greg Pass holding a CTO position at Twitter before he resigned in May. We have come to know that almost all the original Summize team has left Twitter.

Chowdhry held a key position in Twitter as he supervised a lot of major data projects at Twitter throughout his service. He was the mastermind behind the Twitter Search and Recommendations. However, Twitter refused to comment on Chowdhry’s resignation.

Other than Twitter, Chowdhry is known to be a co-founder of the Alta Vista School, San Francisco. He also remained a chief architect of search at AOL in his successful career.

Certainly, the exit of Chowdhry is a big blow for Twitter, but there are even bigger names at Twitter than Chowdhry. It is said that the major reason for what going on at Twitter is something regarding the latest funding. Still a lot to come, we are trying to reach the actual cause and will bring it to you soon.
