Google Aiming to Start Wireless Cellular Services with Google Voice on its Way

There is no single day when we don’t come across news related to web-based companies, perhaps because of the rapidly developing technologies and of course to beat their competitors in terms of features and offers. One such news we heard early today that Google – the search engine giant is planning to introduce wireless telecommunication network in Spain.

The major source of this news is Phandroid – a blog known for delivering all news related to Android. The blog quote a Spanish website Xataka Android which has actually discovered a Google-branded SIM Card later tested on the Google Nexus S and displaying the carrier branding as ‘Google_ES’.

Phandroid states:

An interesting rumor has come out of Spanish site Xataka Android. Apparently, Google-branded SIM cards have been spotted and tested on the Nexus S The rumor suggests Google will look to either Pepephone or Simyo to help them become an actual carrier. On the photo below, you can see the carrier branding is “Google_Es”.

Currently, this report is nothing more than a speculation like many others we heard on regular basis regarding these industry giants. It is not hard to change the carrier branding text these days as several apps available to successfully perform this task.

But it is also true that where there are completely absurd rumors, there are rumors with a background story. We can never underestimate the potential of Google as it is pretty much capable of introducing any such service.

The search-engine giant has already successfully launched Google Voice telecommunication service in the United States. The service has received a good response from the masses because of its impressive features as well as its strong connection with other Google services. The most prominent feature that make it a much sought-after is its availability to Android and iPhone.

Currently, Google Voice is only available in United States, but Google is planning to launch it globally soon as Google’s European Director of Business Development says while talking to The Next Web that the Google Voice is in testing process within the Europe in an anticipation of its global release soon.

The most suitable brand name that Google can use for its cellular services would something like G-Mobile. But this is only possible if Google really wants to take an initiative to enter into cellular market industry as well.
