iPad 2 Can Replace Administrative PC’s in Universities

iPad 2 is the topic of debacle amongst the University administrations in US for its enablement in the system. As per a recently released report by a research major it’s been revealed that the slow administrative processing and manual steps result in student selection delays. And if these processes can be automated through iPad 2 then great better results can be achieved at a faster pace. In an attempt to re-engineer the processes US Federal department has already provisioned PlayBook tablets for their employees. We’d soon notice the trend to follow in other international regimes too.

If the Universities in US adapt its core business processes in line with the features of iPad 2 then it will become the first ones to do so. However, a lot of uncertain aspects such as cloud based usage, security management and IT infrastructure readiness are being talked about as the cost leakage propositions.

The core advantage that most of the Universities in US have is the enablement of the secured cloud network. If that can be tweaked to meet the business purpose of the administrative officers then their productivity will increase and the time lag in student’s selection process can be eliminated on the move.
