Samsung Aiming to File Patent Lawsuit against Apple’s unreleased iPhone5

The intellectual property dispute continues to rise between Samsung and Apple as the recent reports suggest that Samsung is aiming to file patent lawsuit against Apple for its yet unannounced iPhone 5. This news has been confirmed by the senior executive at the Samsung reports The Korean Times.

Just after the arrival of the iPhone 5 here, Samsung plans to take Apple to court here for its violation of Samsung’s wireless technology related patents,” said a senior executive from Samsung Electronics, asking not to be identified.

For as long as Apple does not drop mobile telecommunications functions, it would be impossible for it to sell its i-branded products without using our patents. We will stick to a strong stance against Apple during the lingering legal fights.

This decision is taken in a perspective of injunctions issued by the court in different countries restricting Samsung from selling its Galaxy Tab devices in those markets subsequent to the complaints of intellectual property breach from Apple.

However, Samsung is not yet able to make any decisive move against Apple’s iPhone due to the fact that Apple has yet not disclosed any details about its device. This simply suggests that Samsung is helpless at present because it has no device against to file an infringement claim. But the Samsung has obvious plans to bring Apple to the court and for this purpose busy in preparing its case which related to the patents regarding wireless technology it owns. The same wireless technology will going to be a part of iPhone 5. Samsung is just waiting for the launch of iPhone 5 after which it is free to lodge infringement claims against Apple and its new iPhone 5.

Other interesting news cited by The Korean Times is related to the Near-Field Communication (NFC) technology which according to some unspecified officials will be introduced in iPhone 5. However, these reports are still not authentic and a general agreement has been suggested that iPhone will not launch with this technology, iPhone 6 might be the better option for this technology.
