Samsung Galaxy S II Series Makes Off with 10 Million Sales

Today, Samsun has declared that its Samsung Galaxy S II has hit 10 million sales all across the world.

The Samsung Galaxy S II was released by the company back in April. Within three months of its launch, the sales hit 5 million as announced by the company. After achieving the landmark of 5 million sales, the device achieves the next landmark of 10 million in really a short period of time – really a big achievement indeed. It is important to note here that the device made its debut in United States just a couple of weeks back.

Another important aspect one should take into consideration while evaluating the impressive sales figures for Samsung Galaxy S II is the mention of channel sales, which is quite different from the end-user sales. Irrespective of the approach used by Samsung, achieving 10 million sales in just less than 5 months is a significant accomplishment for any class of smartphone excluding Apple’s iPhone which is far more sought-after smartphone with a large market base all over the world. However, there is an instance when Samsung Galaxy 2 II outsold iPhone 4 in Korean market.

The Samsung Galaxy S II differs in specs depending on the carrier through which it is sold in the United States. Still, the device is extremely impressive with features like dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos CPU, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, 8 megapixel camera, 16GB of storage and 1GB of RAM.
