Samsung Launches Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE

Few hours ago Samsung claimed that they have sold over 10 million Samsung Galaxy S IIs all across the world. Now, we are told that they have announced Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE. It is a matter of two weeks when they introduced their Samsung Galaxy S II in the US market. It is a bit surprising but not unexpected. Samsung certainly wants to show its rival companies that don’t underestimate its potential.

The Galaxy S II LTE and Galaxy S II HD LTE are the two new smartphones and the names clearly suggest what they have within them for the users. The original Samsung Galaxy S II was launched in February this year and since then we have heard a lot about it. It is important to note that the newly launched Galaxy S II duo and the original Galaxy S II have many features common between them including Android 2.3 Gingerbread, an 8-megapixel camera offering 1080p video recording, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity and 16GB of storage. This is all what they have in common.

The Galaxy S II LTE in addition to aforementioned attributes also show a support for 4G-LTE networks for extremely fast downloads and on-the-move HD video streaming. It features a 4.5″ display with 800×480 resolution and it gets power from a dual-core 1.5GHz processor.

The next model joining the Samsung camp is the Galaxy S II HD LTE. It feature a 4.65″ display with 1280×720 resolution. It is the second Samsung smartphone after Galaxy Note to offer 720p resolution. The Super AMOLED HD Plus display will offer users a high pixel density of 316 pixels per inch.  It is also powered by a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and offers 4G-LTE networks support.

Both these phones offer 1GB of RAM, 1.5GHz of processor and 4G-LTE networks supports opposed to original Galaxy S II. A dual-core 1.5GHz processor is way too fast than the previous 1.2GHz dual-core chip. Also, the new models have relatively larger screen and rounded edges.

Although, Samsung has not yet disclosed the pricing plan and release date, but what we have worth sharing with you is that the Galaxy S II LTE will be available in Korea through Sunkyoung (SK) Telecom, while the Galaxy S II HD LTE will be offered through Sunkyoung (SK) Telecom, LG U+ and KT Telecoms.
