Amazon Finalizes Licensing Deal with Disney-ABC

Amazon is putting a lot of effort these days to promote its tablet devices. One such example is its recent licensing deal with Disney-ABC Television Group, an Amazon attempt to bring favorite US TV shows and films to its Prime Instant Video service. Under this deal, the Amazon Prime members will able to enjoy content from ABC Studios, the Disney Channel, ABC Family and Marvel.

The partnership between Amazon and PBS was finalized a week ago under a licensing deal between the two companies. In the deal, the world’s giant online retailer broker came under an agreement with Disney-ABC Domestic Television.

The deal enables the Amazon Prime subscribers to see the Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, several Marvel’s animated shows and famous children’s program across several devices including the new Kindle Fire, which is scheduled to arrive in mid-November.

It is anticipated that the Amazon’s media offerings will reach to over 13,000 by first half of 2012, which further strengthen the retailer’s reputation as a reputable TV and film streaming service when one compared it with other larger content distributor including Apple.
