Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich OS Challenges iOS 5’s Capabilities

The new Snapdragon powered Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS is staring hard at the iOS 5.x capabilities and in many ways will beat the tablet OS leader. The new Android variant will be launched in the first half of 2011 by Google and will support either tablets or mobile devices without any constraints at all. The multitasking capabilities of Android variants powered on new Android 4.0 will be higher and better than iOS 5.x. The early research findings have outlined that the request-response times too are faster on the Android variants than on the iOS led devices. It will be tough for Apple to sustain the lead in the tablet or mobile market OS war.

One of the major factors that work in favor of Android devices is its low cost of acquisition too. One can leverage from the fine Android options and look to channelize the investments without any hassles at all. Apple has been able to retain the supremacy in the segment after having launched iPad in 2010 which ended up becoming a de-facto standard even by this fag end of 2011. Apple should first work on launching low cost models or decrease the price of their service offerings for it to become a viable proposition for all.
