Apple Refreshes MacBook Pro Range

The entire MacBook Pro lineup received a comprehensive bump in specifications back in February. It is reported that the MacBook Pro lineup has received another round of specification bump, but not as significant as the previous one. However, it is still impressive.

The appearance of new MacBook Pros is not surprising as it has been rumored for last few weeks that the new MacBook Pros were making their way in Apple’s inventory system.

In the recent upgrade, Apple tried to improve its entry level models. These models are now available with high-speed processors and bigger hard drives. Perhaps, the intentions are to give common people, who cannot afford advanced models, a chance to enjoy all the glory of Mac notebooks.

The 13-inch model now has a dual-core 2.4GHz Intel Core i5 CPU compared to previous 2.3GHz processors, an increased 500GB hard drive with 5400 rpm. On the other hand, the top end model of 13-inch model receives a 2.8GHz Core i7 processor and a spacious 750GB hard drive with 5400 rpm.

The 15-inch model now has a 2.2GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 500GB hard drive with 5400 rpm and an impressive Radeon HD 6750M GPU together with 512MB GDDR5 memory. The top-end model receives a 2.4GHz quad-core i7 processor, 750GB hard drive with 5400 rpm and fairly faster Radeon HD 6770M GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) together with 1GB GDDR5 memory.

The 17-inch model of MacBook Pro is now available with 2.4GHz quad-core Core i7 processor, 750GB hard drive with 5400 rpm and somehow faster Radeon HD 6770M GPU along with 1GB GDDR5 memory.

The most interesting thing about the latest upgraded MacBook Pro lineup is their unchanged prices. Apple doesn’t charge you more for the upgrades it has made to entire lineup. Also, the entire lineup keeps the same 4GB DDR3 RAM clocked at 1333MHz. Apart from improvements made, the rest of all the features remain the same including: 7 hours battery life, aluminum unibody design, Thunderbolt port, FaceTime HD camera, OS X Lion, backlit keyboard and multi-touch trackpad featuring gesture support.

The new range of MacBook Pro is available in Apple Stores. You can also order one on the Apple’s official website. This is perhaps the right time to get your piece of MacBook Pro, if you are waiting for these upgrades.
