The Senior Media liaison at Google, Karen Wickre, who had been attached to Google for last nine year, has finally decided to quit Google and join Twitter.
Being holding a one of the most senior PR position at Google, Wickre served as an intermediary for project managers and the media. She was an important member of Google senior executives’ team and several member enjoyed working with her at Google.
Karen Wickre confirmed her decision of quitting Google and joining Twitter through one of her tweet. She wrote:
This is perhaps another tricky decision for Twitter, which has already lost its VP of Engineering Mike Abbott and Vice President of Consumer Marketing Pam Kramer, after bringing back Jack Dorsey as Chairman.
The addition of Karen Wickre seems to be a good decision by Twitter. We haven’t seen much of Twitter involvement with media in recent times other than introducing its history of magazines and some minor changes in the management. Karen Wickre is all set to take her charge at Twitter. We have to wait and see what sort of access Karen Wickre will be able to give media while at Twitter.
