Google Releases Redesigned New Tab Homepage for Chrome

This may not be new for those who are already using Google pre-release version of Chrome, Canary. Google in its latest stable release of Chrome has made the redesigned New Tab homepage available to all Chrome users. Google announced in its blog post, “It’s more streamlined, so it’s easier to access and organize your apps in different sections on the page.”

With redesigned New Tab homepage, you will now able to access your favorite applications and most visited websites rather simply. Chrome will now show you the thumbnails of the most visited websites. You will also be able to restore a closed tab or window by using a ‘recently closed’ pages option located at the bottom right of the page.

The Chrome Web Store icon now helps you adding more applications to your New Tab page. If you missed it somehow, the Web Store is now has a new facelift to assist you. You can now see all the apps and extensions in a wall of images – each time you visit the Store, the wall will be updated.
