iPhone Manufacturer Faces Pollution Charges

China has gone really strict over environmental concerns. According to latest reports, the iPhone supplier Pegatron along with many of its subsidiaries has been warned by Chinese government over several environmental concerns. The manufacturer is taking necessary initiatives to cope clear the concerns of the locals.

A recent environmental report reveals that three of Pegatron’s subsidiaries were found guilty of expelling harmful gases into the atmosphere; however, the company assured that it had already buying equipment to rectify the problem at one of its facilities. The new equipment will not only help controlling the level of harmful gases spewing in air, but also reduce the noise pollution

Pegatron’s two subsidiaries are fined by the Chinese government for discharging too much of contaminated water. Pegatron is currently in dialogue with Chinese government and local residents to clear their concerns. However, we have not yet told whether the negotiations are going in a right way or not.

It was not the first time that Apple supplier in China has come under fire over environmental concerns. Recently, Catcher Technology, a Taiwanese-based company in China known for supplying aluminum casings to Apple for its notebooks was forced to halt its operations over environmental and safety concerns. However, the company is hoping to recommence its operations in China in November.
