Nokia Windows Phones Due on October 26

Nokia, the Finland-based company known for manufacturing sophisticated cellular phones will reveal its first Nokia Windows Phones in the forthcoming Nokia World event to be held in London from October 26th to October 27th.

The report come straight from the AsiaD conference currently going on in Hong Kong where the Microsoft’s President of Windows Phone division, Andy Lees announced that Nokia will launch its first Windows Phones at its Nokia World event.

The announcement is pretty much in line with the previous reports suggesting that the first Windows Phone devices from Nokia will launch in Europe somewhere this year. Andy Lees has now officially confirmed this report. What we are anticipating that Nokia will bring more of its devices in the event which is also obvious from Lees’ announcement where he used Nokia Phones rather than Phone.

Lees also said in his statement that all Nokia devices will launch with variation of hardware and software, which means that we are not just going to have a Windows Phone Mango under Nokia clothing but can expect something new and unexpected. Contrary to these remarks, all the original batch of Windows Phone 7 devices launched with similar hardware as per Microsoft’s requisites.

We are all aware of the fact that Nokia has recently cut its workforce down mainly because of the reduced sales of its smarphones. This clearly suggests that the company is no position to bear any other major loss. Hence, we can expect to have something really encouraging from Nokia camp that will help them regain their lost smartphone market.
