Windows 8, Android To Fight Apple iPad 3

The long held supremacy in the tablet market segment by Apple is expected to be tormented by Windows 8 and Android OS in medium term time horizon. The end users across the globe are getting glued to attractive bets of Android in particular and the future might be trickier than before for iPad 3. The new iPad 3 is expected to be powered on iOS 5.x and will offer some of the finest features to users including robust user interface. However, the success of tablets and the user interface looks have been reciprocated by Android quite easily. With the entry of Windows 8 in the tablet market segment one can expect further discounts in the tablet prices going forward.

The chances of differentiation are remarkably less in the tech space. For instance, in current day’s scenario the tablets are being manufactured in China by almost all the vendors so there is no cost advantage that one holds over the other. To add to that almost all tablets have redefining resolution and competing camera features apart from streamlined user interface.

Perhaps the clear differentiator at this point in time for Apple and iPad 3 is the lined up iCloud proposition. However, we might witness dwindling sales numbers for iPad with the entry of Microsoft’s Windows 8 service in tab market too.
