Apple Launches iTunes Match Beta 3 to Developers

iTunes Match beta 3 has finally launched to developers by Apple next to the scheduled library reset. The new beta version of the iTunes Match offers several vital performance tweaks and stability improvements.

The iTunes Match was originally scheduled to launch for the end of October, but failed to meet the deadline for one or another reason. The tech giant is currently busy in removing the bugs from its $24.99 per year cloud music service.

Apple released a statement to developers. We have included a small extract from that statement:

iTunes 10.5.1 beta 3 includes a number of important stability and performance improvements for iTunes Match, and is a required update for all subscribers to iTunes Match beta.

Backup regularly and do not delete the music you add to iCloud from your computer. Apple may periodically delete all iCloud libraries during the beta period. This will require you to scan, match, and upload songs again.

The appearance of beta version of iTunes Match is a clear indication from Apple’s camp that the iTunes Match is on its way to the public. However, Apple has not disclosed any official date for the arrival of iTunes Match. Developers can download the iTunes Match beta 3 from the Dev Center.
